1. Purpose of Use
1.1. Our platform is intended for users to utilise our mobile car buying service.
1.2. Users must use the platform in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
2. Valuation Process
2.1. Offers provided may not reflect the retail value of the car.
2.2. Users should understand that the offer may be less than what they might expect to see on second-hand marketplaces.
2.3. The offer includes a margin to account for the retail value.
2.4. Car Buy does not provide customers with a separate “vehicle valuation” service. Users seeking a comprehensive market value assessment should explore dedicated vehicle valuation services.
2.5. The “maximum offer” provided is contingent on the accuracy and truthfulness of the information submitted. During the final inspection, if the information provided matches the actual condition of the vehicle, no additional deductions will be made from the offer.
2.6. Car Buy reserves the right to adjust the offer if, during the final inspection, it is determined that additional expenses will be incurred to make the vehicle market-ready. This may include costs for services, new tyres, body parts replacement, or addressing any damage or maintenance issues that may affect the value of the vehicle.
2.7. Car Buy retains the right to adjust the “maximum offer” at any point during the process, based on factors such as market conditions, unforeseen expenses, or other relevant considerations.
2.8. Car Buy reserves the right to decline purchasing certain vehicles. In such cases, we will notify the vehicle owner via email that we are not interested in purchasing their vehicle.
2.9. CarBuy reserves the right to reject any vehicle at any stage of the process—before, during, or after inspection—if it does not meet our buying criteria. This may include (but is not limited to) issues related to mechanical condition, service history, ownership details, or market suitability. In some cases, a vehicle may be declined without a formal offer being made. If we choose not to proceed, we will notify you either in person or via email. You can view our full Buying Criteria here
3. Intellectual Property
3.1. All content on our platform, including but not limited to text, images, and logos, is protected by intellectual property rights and is owned by Car Buy or its licensors.
3.2. You may not use, reproduce, or distribute any content without our express written consent.
4. User Responsibilities
4.1. Users are responsible for providing accurate and up-to-date information regarding their vehicle.
4.2. Users agree to use the platform in a lawful and respectful manner.
5. Privacy
5.1. By using our platform, you agree to the terms of our Privacy Policy.
6. Responsible Use
6.1. Users are prohibited from abusing our service for the purpose of obtaining multiple valuations or “fishing” for the value of their car. This includes submitting false or misleading information to receive additional offers.
6.2. Car Buy reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to our platform for users found to be engaging in abusive or fraudulent behaviour.
7. Limitation of Liability
7.1. We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of information on our platform. Users should conduct their own due diligence.
8. Termination of Services
8.1. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the platform for any violation of these Terms.
